What med's can we get from the VA for dm2 i know take three 500 metformin a day but the stuff gives me the sh--s , trying to not go on insulin last a1c was 6.6 thanks for the help.

Had the same problem, told the Doc, she put me on Glipizide 5mg tab. take 1/2 hr before meals.

Be sure to tell the doc what the meds are doing to you. In all fairness, any new med may have side effects that usually subside in a short time as your body adjusts. Good luck, Charlie.
